Regulatory Lepse Project. Agenda item 16 (Presentation in English)
Description
The primary objective of this project is to provide technical support by the EU to the Russian Nuclear regulator Gosatomnadzor in its licensing activities regarding radioactive waste management in decommissioning of nuclear powered ships and other vessels with nuclear installations and radiation sources in Northwest Russia as of 2005. This effort is first of all aimed at enhancing the regulatory supervision of the dismantlement of the Lepse ship with spent nuclear fuel on board.
