Description
A two-dimensional position-sensitive X-ray detector was developed for small angle X-ray scattering experiments. It has a 190x190 mm2 effective window and can get 0.3 mm spatial resolution using Ar mixture gases. The fabricated detector was tested at 4C1 SAXS beamline at Pohang Accelerator Laboratory for small angle X-ray scattering. It would play an important role in study of polymer and protein structure. It could be possible to realize rapid time resolved experiments(<0.1s) with fast data acquisition system. Because the detector is noise free in comparison to CCD detector, it has a great advantage in solution scattering which has weak scattering power
