Description

The goal of this work was to investigate various methods of platinum doping materials suitable for electrode pastes. Thr experiments were carried out using two methods of doping of electrode perovskite ceramic materials. They considered in adding adequate amounts of platinum pastes or platinum powder to electrode perovskite-based pastes. the pastes were printed onto yttrium doped ZrO2 substrates. Technological flow diagram for producing layers as well as printing, drying and firing parameters were similar to those for pastes based on pure ceramic materials. Electrode layers were examined using scanning electron microscope and following measurements were carried out: resistance versus temperature, electromotive force (EMF) versus temperature and impedance studies. It was found that doping of electrode pastes, based on materials having the perovskite structure, with both platinum conductive pastes and powdered platinum allowed attaining neither expected significant decrease in layer resistance nor agreement of experimental data with theoretical ones.
