Microstructural and magnetic properties of soft Mn-Zn ferrite
Description
Mn-Zn Ferrites were developed by powder metallurgy method. The starting materials were oxides of Fe, Mn and Zn. After mixing, calcination, grinding and milling the size of the calcined powder was less than one micron. Phases were determined by XRD technique while micro-structural studies were done using optical microscopy and the SEM. The magnetic properties were determined by plotting a B-H curve. From the curve it was revealed that the maximum flux density B/sub max/ was more than 6500G, remanence Br was 1700 and the coercivity Hc was, 0.15 Odegree. (author)
