Methodical investigations into optimality of two-layer shielding composition of steel and polyethylene

Description

Based on experimental results and efficiency function concept, optimal two-layer shielding composition of steel and polyethylene is grounded and produced, which is recommended as a test for grounding calculated optimization complexes. For the composition, close to the optimal one, comparison of experimental and calculated results of ROZ-6, REMR-1 and RAPID-K programs is conducted. An optimal composition, close, by its thickness, to the shielding, found in the course of experiment, is produced, using MSD-REMR-1 calculated optimization complex. Applicability of roughened models and radiation functional calculation programs in optimization programs for exact search for water-cooled reactor optimal shielding compositions is proved
