Description
The 68Ga radioisotope is an excellent source in clinical PET application due to its ease of availability from 68Ge/ 68Ga generator having a shelf life of 1 year. Eluates from most of the commercially available generators have low concentration of 68Ga radioactivity, high acid concentration and traces of various metal contaminants and thus it is not suitable for labelling work. Therefore, pre-concentration and purification of the initial generator eluate is required. (author)
