Dimuon production in a quark-parton model

Description
We obtain bounds on the dimuon production ratio sigma/sup nu/(μ-μ+)/sigma/sup nu-bar/(μ+μ-) within the framework of a quark-parton model. The bounds follow from positivity conditions for the integrated valence and sea. Charmed-meson and -baryon production is taken into account. Specific symmetry assumptions for the sea contributions allow us to study the cross sections for dimuon production
