Description
Neutron-rich nuclei are currently of great interest as they exhibit structural properties which are very different from the nuclei near the beta stability line. Investigations into the extent of this island and the transition from the stable nuclei to neutron-rich nuclei will lead to a greater understanding of the evolution of the shell structure
