Search for a nonstrange baryonium decaying into strange particles

Description

Inclusive production of a nonstrange baryonium decaying into strange particles has been searched for in the experiment performed in a neutron beam of the Serpukhov accelerator by means of the BIS-2 spectrometer. Final state characterized by a zero baryon number and strangeness, but containing strange particles and particles with a non-zero baryon number, have been studied. The invariant mass spectra: Λ0p-barK+, Λ-bar0pK-, Λ0p-barK+π±, Λ-bar0pK-π± and K0pp-barK± have been analyzed. In mentioned spectra narrow peaks ∼30 MeV/c in width, which is close to the corresponding experimental resolution, are seen in a mass region of 3250 MeV/c2. The obtained data indicate the existence of a narrow meson resonance with hidden quantum numbers: baryon number and strangeness
