Linear stability of the tearing mode in a quasi-neutral current sheet

Description
It is shown, that an account of fly-through electrons components essentially changes the criterion of the linear stability of the tearing mode of the quasi-neutral current sheet. The new sufficient criterion of stability, depending on the ratio between the electron and ion temperatures, is obtained. The tearing mode stability by an account of the fly-through electrons depends also on the pitch-angular electron scattering in the current sheet
