Thermodynamic properties of yttrium and dysprosium manganites

Description
The emf method with a fluoride-ion electrolyte was used to determine the temperature dependence of the Gibbs energies for the reactions of RMnO3 (R=Y, Dy) formation from coexisting phases, viz., R2O3 + 2RMn2O5 4RMnO3 + 0.5O2. The temperature dependences of log P (O2) for the dissociation reactions RMn2O5 → RMnO3 + (1/3)Mn3O4 + (1/3 )O2 and Mn2O3 → (2/3)Mn3O4 + (1/6)O2 were determined by a combined method of heterogeneous equilibria and emf with an oxygen-ion electrolyte. Based on the data, standard thermodynamic functions are calculated for the reactions of yttrium and dysprosium manganites formation from the simple oxides
Abstract (Russian)
Методом ЭДС с фтор-ионным электролитом определены температурные зависимости энергии Гиббса реакций образования RMnО3 (R = Y, Dy) из сосуществующих фаз: R2О3 + 2RMn2O5 = 4RMnО3 + 0.5O2. Объединенным методом гетерогенных равновесий и ЭДС с кислород-ионным электролитом определены температурные зависимости lg Р (O2) реакций диссоциации: RMn2O5 → RMnO3 + (1/3)Мn3O4 + (1/3 )O2 и Мn2O3 → (2/3)Мn3O4 + (1/6)O2. Из полученных данных рассчитаны стандартные термодинамические функции реакций образования манганитов иттрия и диспрозия из простых оксидовAdditional details
