Description

This paper is concerned with tests on plain-carbon and stainless steel piping components, subjected to incremental collapse tests in order to compare actual structural behavior with that predicted by the theory. Also some plastic collapse tests were performed on these components as well as a few alternating plasticity tests, but these only the carbon steel specimens. This paper contains calculated results either assuming elastic-perfectly plastic behavior or taking into account strain hardening
