ESR of Nd3+ and Gd3+ in YRh2 and YIr2 cubic intermetallic compounds

Description
ESR experiments at liquid helium temperatures has been done on diluted (0.01%-1%) Nd and Gd in YRh2 and YIr2 Laves phases. Nd3+ shows an isotropic spectra with hyperfine lines corresponding to the various isotopes and a g-value appropied to a γ6 crystal field ground state. The Gd3+ resonance shows a single line at g approximately 1.993. (Author)

Experiencias de RPE a baixas temperaturas sob Nd e Gd diluidos em YRh2 e YIr2 sao apresentadas. Nd3+ apresenta uma ressonancia isotropica com estruturas hiperfinas correspondente aos varios isotopos e um valor de g apropriado a um estado fundamental γ6. A ressonancia de Gd3+ apresenta uma unica linha isotropica a g aproximadamente 1.993. (Autor)Additional details
