Description
In the first part of this work we derive a rigorous transport theory for a mixture of gases passing through a bed of spheres, when the temperature is uniform. We solve the Boltzmann equation, putting boundary conditions in the solution. Two different methods are used, according to the nature of the flow. The second part deals with the experimental work: measurements of permeability, of separation and of interdiffusion. In the last part, with the help of the new theory presented here, we are for the first time able to explain all the experimental data. (author)

Dans la premiere partie de ce travail nous developpons une theorie rigoureuse du transport d'un melange de gaz a travers un lit de spheres, quand la temperature est uniforme. Nous integrons l'equation de Boltzmann en introduisant des conditions aux limites dans la solution. Nous utilisons deux methodes differentes selon le regime d'ecoulement. La seconde partie est consacree a l'etude experimentale: mesures de permeametrie, de separation et d'interdiffusion. Dans la derniere partie, a l'aide de la nouvelle theorie developpee ici, nous expliquons tous les resultats experimentaux, ce qui n'avait pas ete fait jusque la. (auteur)Files
