Technology of construction and mounting operations at NPPs

Description

Technology of construction and mounting works at NPP is described. Problems related to the containment shell construction, mounting of reactor room equipment, mechanization of constructing-mounting works, transport of equipment to the site of NPP were considered. It is shown that the reactor room is the most complicate and labour-consuming object of NPP. During containment shell concreting depending on their structural solutions used are both progreassive and sliding shuttor. Use of sliding shutter permits to considerably reduce the period of the containment construction. Technological equipment is mounted after the end of the construction. The equipment is delivered through openings in the containment shell. A large number of cranes of low rated load capacity is used during the NPP construction, and for heavy equipment mounting specialized companies use unique cranes of high rated load capacity. Building structures and equipment are delivered to the NPP construction site by means of vessels and vehicles
