Modulus of elasticity of the Fe-Ni-Mn-C alloy monocrystals near the martensite γ → α- transformation

Description
A temperature dependence of C' modulus of elasticity in a monocrystal of the Fe-5.9%Ni-4.4%Mn-0.48%C alloy near martensite γ → α transformation at subzero temperatures was studied. It is shown that C' temperature dependence is of a normal type: modulus of elasticity linearly increases with a temperature decrease down to a value differing from the transformation temperature by 1 deg. Neither C'-anomalies connected with the vicinity of the temperature of martensite γ → α transformation in the alloy investigated nor a tendency to a loss of crystal lattice stability are observed
