The value and progress of DCE-MRI in diagnosis of ovarian masses
Description
Ovarian tumors threat female's health seriously. An accurate diagnosis is essential for effective treatments and influences prognosis. Because angiogenesis plays a significant role in ovarian carcinoma progression, targeted therapy, like anti-angiogenesis, has become a hotspot in ovarian tumor chemotherapy research in the past few years. Dynamic contrast-enhanced MRI can not only provide abundant morphology information but also information of angiogenesis noninvasively, having important value in preoperative evaluation. We reviewed the application and research progress of DCE-MRI in ovarian tumor preoperative diagnosis and angiogenesis evaluation. (authors)
