Applicabilities of superconducting detectors for precision nuclear spectroscopy and recoil nuclei detection

  • 1. Moskovskij Gosudarstvennyj Univ., Moscow (Russian Federation). Nauchno-Issledovatel'skij Inst. Yadernoj Fiziki

Description

Physical principles are considered on which the operation of new types of ionising and non-ionizing radiation detectors under development is based, including the ones making use of superconducting tunnel transitions as the absorbed energy sensitive elements; thermal devices operating according the microcalorimeter principle; as well as detector with absorbers in the form of large monocrystals and ballistic phonon recording. The results obtained in a number of works are given. The problem of producing detectors based on high-temperature superconductors and prospects of using them in nuclear spectroscopy are discussed
