The legal late-effects of Chernobyl

Description

The planned modifications of official EC limiting values for maximum permissible radioactivity are discussed with regard to their impact on the practical and legal situation in case of a future nuclear accident. They are particularly assessed in terms of political goals (room for manoeuvre), and against the background of economic considerations. (DG)

Die geplanten Grenzwertveraenderungen zur radioaktiven Belastung in der EG werden in ihren Auswirkungen bei kuenftigen atomtechnischen Unfaellen genauer untersucht. Hierbei erfolgt insbesondere eine Bewertung der Grenzwerte als politische 'Manoevriermasse' und als Ergebnis wirtschaftlicher Ueberlegungen. (DG)
