System of protection for radiographic practices in control of welding in boats

Due to the need to have a Zonal Surveillance evaluation and control system, during the generation of ionizing radiation for quality monitoring in welding, in the construction and repair of vessels in the field; Our Organization has implemented a Radiological Protection System able to materialize an effective supervision, during the Practice, of all areas of possible incidence within the shipyard. In their composition they are involved, from the technical personnel (TOEs), the entire command and control structure of the Company, to the external entities of Public Safety and Medical Services required. The System consists of the following cognitive and practical levels: Regulatory Resolutions and Internal Security Instructions. Monitoring and Recording of Workloads and Zonal Surveillance. Radiological Emergency Plan. Training, Individual License and Audits. Report of Rate of Operational Dose. Periodic realization of Radiological Emergency drills. Based on the results obtained regarding Good Practices, radiological incidents have been avoided, which demonstrates the effectiveness of the structure of the system, in accordance with international standards of control to situations of overexposure.
