AODEs in front of climate change, How to act? - Practical guide and returns on experiences. The action of AODEs in favour of the energy transition of territories. AODEs as guarantors of an actually solidarity-based energy transition

A first document presents the AODEs (Authorities Organising Energy Distribution) and their relationship with climate change (greenhouse effect, legal context, definition of an AODE, reasons to address climate change, increase of energy services proposed by AODEs). Then, it discusses how AODEs can intervene and are intervening for energy efficiency and energy management, for the production of renewable energies, for territorial energy planning and a smart network management, and how they integrate sustainable development into all their activities. The second document discusses why AODEs are struggling against climate change, discusses stakes associated with energy sobriety and efficiency (thermal renovation and optimisation of energy consumptions), discusses the essential role played by AODEs in energy systems (social action, sustainable development, town planning, decarbonized vehicles), and briefly discusses their renewable energy production. The third document is a manifesto of the FNCCR (professional body) for an actually solidarity-based energy transition. It discusses the foundations of the local public intervention on energy, and outlines how energy networks are at the service of territories and of consumers-citizen
