Effect of multipole vibration on M1 transitions of 1+ states in 208Pb

Description
The generator coordinate method1)/sup / (GCM) is applied to study the effect of multipole surface vibrations on the M1 transitions of 1+ states in 208Pb. The results of the calculation show that the coupling of (1p1h) with the 3- collective state is more important than with the 2+ state
