Contribution to the study of heavy ion transfer reactions. Problems of optical potential and core excitation

Description

The experimental study of the following transfer reactions is presented: 64Ni(16O,15N)65Cu at 56MeV and 64Ni(12C,11B)65Cu at 48MeV; 64Ni(16O,14C)66Zn at 56 MeV and 64Ni(12C,10Be)66Zn at 48 MeV; and (16O,14C) reactions on 76Ge, 74Ge and 72Ge targets. It is shown that the shape of the angular distributions can be explained by studying reaction mechanisms. For the first reactions DWBA calculations are in agreement with the experimental results and show the importance of recoil effects in heavy ion induced reactions. Similar effects appear in the second-type reactions where the description of the two nucleons transferred play a major part in the intensity of the cross sections. As for Ge nuclei which have states with strong collective structure, the study of two proton transfer reactions such as (16O, 14C) reveals a two-step reaction mechanism. CCBA calculations were carried out and are shown to be in good agreement with the angular distributions
