Superplasticity effect in Cd-Sn system

Description

This paper is dedicated to the investigations of superplasticity (SP) of Cd-Sn system cast alloys on the basis of concept concerning genetic relations between alloy properties and their melt properties under the conditions of SP-deformation. Peculiar points are detected within the given stoichiometric compositions on S(C) thermoelectromotive force concentration dependence at T=315 deg C. Analysis and comparison of δ(C) dependence with the abovementioned factors allow to make conclusion about the existance of structural memory, that is, about the connection between intermetallic compound in a liquid state and abnormally high plasticity in solid state in alloys with composition, which coincides with the compound stoichiometry. It is shown, that ability to in herit cybotaxial structure of their liquid state by intergranular (interphase) interlayers is one of the conditions for the occurrence of superplasticity effect in Cd-Su stoichiometric composition cast alloys
