A model structure of Non-proliferation Database

After the several experiences of the International verification in 1990's, the world recognized the needs to improve and to enhance the IAEA Safeguards. The Board of Governors and the Secretariat of the IAEA continued to discuss to improve the capabilities to detect the undeclared nuclear materials and activities with strengthening measures last 5 years. The provision of information and the complementary access as results of the discussions have shown us many suggestions that those are very useful for the strengthened IAEA safeguards. On the other hand, the provision of the information provided by the Member States could improve the transparency of the states' nuclear activities. Each state which intend to prevent the proliferation of the nuclear weapons has to make efforts to submit the information relevant to their nuclear activities to the IAEA in order to contribute the efforts of the strengthening the IAEA safeguards and to improve the transparency of their nuclear activities. According to the situation described above, the NMCC intends to make the Non-proliferation Database (NDB) met the requirements of the new IAEA safeguards. The information has been collected, categorized and accumulated in the computer in order to contribute the information analysis from non-proliferation point of view. We believe the efforts from all states contribute to improvement to the information analysis of the IAEA and the transparency of the State's nuclear activities. (author)
