Radiation contamination and treatment of some hard-rock-type uranium mines in Gan, Yue and Xiang areas

Description
Radon contamination and restraining methods of some hard-rock-type uranium mines in Jiangxi(Gan), Guangdong(Yue) and Hunan(Xiang) Provinces are discussed. The most common contaminations include the radon and its daughter in atmosphere; uranium, thorium, radium, managese, chromium, zinc and sulfate radical in liquid; the solid radiation from waste rock pile, tailings impoundment and open pit ruin.
