Spectroscopic study of copper (2) ions interaction with [ZMo12O42]8- heteropolyanion

Description
By the methods of optical, ESR and NMR spectroscopy interaction of Cu2+ ions with [ZMo12O42]8-heteropolyligand (Z4+=Ce, Th, U) has been investigated. Formation in the solution of copper (2) complex (labile in the NMR time scale) with simultaneous preservation of [ZMo12O42]8- ligand structure in the process of complexing is ascertained. It is pointed out that 17O signal broadening in NMR spectra owing to Cu2+ paramagnetism hampers the revealing of ligang structural distortions in the complex
