Futurology on new X-ray sources

Description

In the passage through matter of relativistic electrons, different types of radiation can be emitted. The characteristics of these radiations, their spatial and spectral distributions, and intensities show particularities which have led to proposing the use of some of these as intense X-ray sources in various applications. A brief survey is given of the present possibilities offered by such sources. (author). 7 figs., 19 refs
