Description
Preliminary data are presented for a series of glasses using some of the special features of neutron diffraction. In vitreous K2O x TiO2 x 2SiO2 each Ti atom is on average surrounded by 5.2 oxygen atoms at a distance of 1.95 A, whereas the structure of V2O5 x TeO2 is dominated by distorted TeO6 octahedra. Features in the magnetic correlation function for vitreous O x 79Fe2O3 x P2O5 occur at the Fe,Fe distance found in crystalline FePO4. (orig.)

(orig.)
