Non-radioactive operation experience with a joule heated ceramic melter for vitrification of high-level liquid waste
Description
A ceramic-lined melter for HLLW-vitrification has been tested at Karlsruhe Nuclear Research Center. The results of these tests look very promising and are described in detail. Further development of the vitrification unit are outlined in respect to remote operation and process control
