MULTIPOL - a code for the coarse-mesh approximation of the stationary multigroup diffusion equations in three spatial dimensions

Description
Using the MULTIPOL code, which is described here, the effective multiplication factor and the relevant stationary solution of the multigroup equation may be determined in 1-3 spatial dimensions for cartesian or cylindrical coordinates. Two methods of approximation may be chosen: a finite difference method or a coarse-mesh approximation with the aid of local square polynomials. (RW)

Der hier beschriebene Code MULTIPOL gestattet die Bestimmung des effektiven Multiplikationsfaktors und der zugehoerigen stationaeren Loesung der Multigruppengleichung in 1-3 Raumdimensionen bei Verwendung cartesischer oder zylindrischer Koordinaten. Es koennen wahlweise zwei Approximationsverfahren gewaehlt werden: eine Finite-Differenzen-Methode oder eine Grobgitternaeherung mit Hilfe lokaler quadratischer Polynome. (RW)Additional details
