Description
A new method of trabecular bone tissue experimental dosimetry on heterogenous antropomorphic phantom of newborn was used for investigation of X-ray bone marrow doses during roentgenography of chest and pelvic organs as well as for the coxofemoral joint. It was found that an extra irradiation of bone marrow due to secondary electrons expulsion from the bone matrix in trabecular bone of a newborn baby is about 10 percent. A theoretical evaluation is given of the expected risk of mortality from leukosys and harmful genetic effects on the first two generations after carrying out the roentgenography of newborn babies in the Ukranian SSR in 1988. The data is necessary for a complex evaluation of X-ray investigation contribution to the compilatory effect of irradiation
