The Siemens digital instrumentation and control technology has proved to adapt well to VVER applications and has led to several contracts being won, including one signed last year covering extensive work on all four PAKS units in Hungary. The table below identifies the plants and the scope of work underway in upgrading both the older and the newer, more modern, VVERs. (author)
