Effect of adsorption phenomena on spectral characteristics of porous silicon Bragg mirror
Description
Adsorption-desorption kinetic of ethanol molecules were studied in porous silicon Bragg mirror. Bragg peak width, intensity and position were used as parameters that determine the behaviour of structure as sensor and controlled reflector. Effect of pores filling on spectral dependences of reflection coefficient of Bragg mirror was simulated with matrix method. It was shown that due to adsorption-desorption of molecules in porous medium (layers) the spectral response of Bragg mirror is time depended. This effect can be used to detect the different molecules and Bragg mirror spectral response tuning.
