Critical currents in layered niobium-base structures

Description
The critical current in layerd niobium structures (Nb-NbO2) is measured. A large anisotropy of the critical current and pinning force is observed in parallel and perpendicular magnetic fields. In a parallel magnetic field the redustion of layer thickness involves a transition from a flux-lattice shearing mechanism to a pin-breaking mechanism
