Description
Experiment on charm production in π=- nucleon interactions find a significant excess of loading over non leading D+- mesons at large xF. These flavor correlations are not reproduced by perturbative QCD calculations. We show that a simple flux tube model of charm production in hadronic collisions describes such as leading particle effect very well. (author)
