The dependence of the contribution of processes of inelastic diffraction on primary energy in pp-interactions with definite energy

  • 1. AN RU, Tashkent (Uzbekistan). Fiziko-Tekhnicheskij Inst

Description

The analysis of dependencies of topological cross sections of pp-interactions in primary energy range 20-800 GeV was done. With primary energy growth the topological cross-sections of two- and 4-prong interactions in energy range considered decreases 8 and 3 times respectively. For 6-prong events with energy growth the cross section increase reaching the maximum at 100 GeV and then decreases. It was shown that inelastic diffraction processes are responsible for formation of two- and four-prong events in the energy range considered.(A.A.D.)
