Description
Compounds of composition M(OC3H5)4.Benz; MCL(OC6H5)3.Benz and MCl2(OC6H5)2.Benz (where M = Nb, Ta; BenzH = Benzoin) have been prepared by refluxing M(OC6H5)5, MCl2(OC6H5)3 and MCl3(OC6H5)3 and MCl3(OC6H5)2 with benzoin in 1:1 molar ratio in benzene. From elemental analysis, molar conductance, magnetic susceptibility and IR spectral studies their structures have been proposed. (author)
