DIN 6815:2021-06: medical x-ray equipment up to 300 kv - rules for testing of radiation protection after installation, maintenance and essential modification

This document is applicable for technical tests on human, dental and veterinary X-ray equipment with an X-ray tube voltage up to 300 kV. This standard is not applicable to non-medical X-ray equipment. It is only applicable in connection with the guideline for the technical testing of X-ray equipment and X-ray sources of interference subject to approval (SV-RL). This document specifies requirements for tests which are necessary for the performance of technical inspections ("expert testing") of X-ray equipment according to StrlSchV and which are not covered by tests of the acceptance test according to § 86 StrlSchG and § 115 StrlSchV. This document was prepared by the Working Committee NA 080-00-02 AA "Radiation Protection" of the DIN Standards Committee Radiology (NAR). This document replaces DIN 6815:2013-06. Compared to DIN 6815:2013-06, the following changes were made: a) Adaptation to the modernised radiation protection law: Act on Protection against the Harmful Effects of Ionising Radiation (Radiation Protection Act - StrlSchG) of 27 June 2017 (BGBl. I p. 1966), as amended by Article 2 of the Act of 27 June 2017 (BGBl. I p. 1966); b) Adaptation to the modernised radiation protection law: Ordinance on Protection against the Harmful Effects of Ionising Radiation (Radiation Protection Ordinance - StrlSchV) of 29 November 2018 (BGBl. I p.2034, 2036); c) shortening and streamlining of the content; d) adaptation to revised standards for acceptance testing; e) general editorial and content revision.
