Multiple production of hadrons in deep inelastic lepton-nucleus collisions

Description
Production of secondary particles (mesons and baryons) in the nucleon-fragmentation region is discussed. The rules of quark statistics are used to calculate the multiplicities of the fragmentation particles. It is shown that the yields of Δ++ and Σ*+ resonances are particularly large in the case of νp interactions. Consideration is given to cascade rescatterings of the fragmentation particles inside the nucleus and to the dependence of the multiplicity of the produced secondary particles on the Bjorken variable x/sub B/ and on A
