Use of TLD in the radiation protection survey of diagnostic radiology and radiotherapy departments

Description
The results of a radiation protection survey (using thermoluminescent dosimeters) carried out at the radiology and radiotherapy departments of Safdarjang Hospital are presented. It consisted of: (a) evaluation of gonadal and forehead doses to patients undergoing different radiological investigations, (b) whole body and finger tip doses to technician in loading the radium applicator, and (c) radiation level survey inside the X-ray rooms, inside the telecobalt unit room while in ''off'' position and inside the radium ward.
