Cover of source for level indicators

Improved safety handling of sources for level indicators used especially in blast furnaces and other facilities is provided by a cover claimed in CS patent document 242082. The cover consists of a case housing a depleted uranium shielding. A channel emptying in the chamber is provided in the shielding in the cover case axis. The channel houses a container with a radiation source shielded with a tungsten source holder shielding at one end and with the cylindrical shielding of a retractable closure at the other. The closure is secured in the shielding position with a safety pin provided with opening for the lock yoke. The safety pin is slidably located in a guide rail with an opening for pin extension. The cover case is firmly linked to a flange provided with a cap. The source holder is protected with a guard fitted to the holder, with the possibility of dismantle. (Z.M.). 1 fig
