Effect of high pressure on the electric properties of Eu and Yb hexaborides
Description
Baric dependences of specific electrical resistance and thermo-emf within up to 11 GPa pressure range are measured in EuB6 and YbB6 monocrystals. Comparison of the obtained data with analogous ones for LaB6 and SmTe monocrystals is carried out. On the basis of analysis of experimental investigations into EuB6 and YbB6 one assumes the possibility of transition of Eu and Yb ions in state with alternative valency under ≅10 GPa pressure
