The use of Adelavin for radiation injury of the head and neck

Description
Treatment for side effects due to irradiation for malignant tumor (17 cases) with Adelavin resulted in : remarkable effect, 4 cases; moderate effect, 7 cases; slight effect, 1 case; no effect, 5 cases. No side effects due to Adelavin were observed. The preventive effect of the agent against radiation injury was suggested. This drug was expected to be useful especially for patients with liver diseases which intensify radiation injury. (Ueda, J.)
