Description

An attempt has been made to obtain data on the sodium composition of the luminescence centers in CsI-Na crystals and on the condition of an activating impurity taking part in their formation. Relationships between absorption intensity within the ranges corresponding to centers 1 and 2 and sodium concentration in crystals have been studied; the results obtained have been compared sodium concentration - the latter being characterized by the separation factors K1 and K2. It has been concluded that sodium does not participate in the luminescence centre formation
