A unified theory of tokamaks and stellarators
Creators
Description
Computational methods are described to study the equilibrium, stability, and transport of a fusion plasma confined by a magnetic field with toroidal geometry. Misconceptions in conventional theories of transport are analyzed and new results more consistent with experimental observations are presented. Specifications are given for an advanced stellarator designed to compete with tokamaks as a fusion reactor
