Calculation of tagged neutrino beams for ASF
Description
The characteristics of the tagged muon and electron neutrino beams have been calculated. The decays Ksup(+-)→μsup(+-)νsub(μ) and Ksup(+-)→Esup(+-)νsub(e)πsup(0) of 1-2 TeV/c kaons were chosen as a neutrino source. The tagged neutrino energy resolutionσ(Esub(ν))/Esub(ν) is about 3%. The angular resolution σ(THETAsub(ν)) is about 7 μ rad for νsub(μ) and 5 μ rad for νsub(e). The background level does not exceed 1-2%. The comparison with the dichromatic muon neutrino beam is presented
