On the deformation-induced redistribution of the amorphous alloy surface layers composition

Description

Using Auger- and X-ray electron spectroscopy segregation in Fe70Cr10P13C7 amorphous alloy surface layers in conditions of elastic and plastic deformations is studied. Elastiv and plastic homogeneous deformations under uniaxial tension and in tension side of banded amorphous ribbon were shown to provide surface chemical composition similar to one in conditions of compressive deformation and thermal relaxation. Surface layers composition changes obviously are connected with topological transformations which are characteristics for metastable amorphous alloys
