Description

Nuclear Grade pure uranium oxide powder U3O8 with natural composition was procured. The materials was characterized by analyzing uranium content, metallic impurities. fluorine, chlorine, nitrogen carbon and O/M ratio. After satisfying conditions for a reference material, solid samples and liquid aliquots were sent to different laboratories of DAE for uranium content to the assign value. From the analytical date obtained from the participating laboratories, statistical analysis was carried out with ANOVA software (for One-way analysis of variance technique) a value was assigned for uranium content in U3O8 as 84.68 ±0.12 (1σ)) %.
