Dynamics of radiation damages in imperfect metals
Description
The paper deals with the experimental results and computer simulation data on peculiarities of the dynamics of radiation damages in metallic crystals having radiation- and nonradiation-induced defects. The results obtained by a computer simulation of the interaction of cascades and their branches with defects (interstitials, vacancies, impurities, twin boundaries impurity complexes) show a considerable reduction of the length of atom-atom collision paths, the diminishment of cascade re.oions in size, the crowdion decoration of the defects by interstitials atoms. A reciprocal effects of the cascades on the defects is also pointed out
